Sandwich Day!!

In our English/Writing class, we have been learning how to use time-order words (First, Next, Then, Afterwards, Finally, etc) as well as writing clear directions on how to do something.

As a class, we worked on writing directions for "How to Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich". We began with a planning sheet (outline), then worked hard on writing a rough draft. Finally, we wrote the final copy.

We wanted to try out the directions on our partners. On Friday, the children got to take turns reading the directions, step by step, while the other actually made the sandwich according to the instructions.

Everyone did a super job, and enjoyed the yummy assignment!
